Acer Nitro 5 (ANV15-5 Unable to Install Windows Update KB5033375, gives Install error - 0x800f081f.

Hello Team,

I purchased Acer Nitro 5 (ANV15-5) last month. Everything is working fine, but I received an update last month i.e. 2023-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5033375).

When I try to install that update, the installation completes to 100%, but at the end, it shows me an error, Install error - 0x800f081f. I checked for the online help and did the following:

Step 1: Press Win + S, type CMD, and press Run as administrator.

Step 2: Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.

After performing the above steps, the system asked to restart, but again I got the same error while installing the update.

Can you please suggest me the fix for the same?

Make sure you have a good internet connection and if 3rd-party AV disable those and only have Widows Defender with all security functions enabled, Try these fixes:

1. Run Troubleshooter-settings-system-troubleshoot-other troubleshooters-windows update-RUN.
2. Reset Windows update https://www.elevenforum.com/t/reset-windows-update-in-windows-11.3808/
3. Run SFC /scannow in the Command Prompt opened as administrator.
4. Run in the same command prompt window: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
5. Repair the update cache: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/analyze-and-clean-up-component-store-winsxs-folder-in-windows-11.7597/
6. If nothing helps, repair Windows11: https://www.elevenforum.com/t/repair-install-windows-11-with-an-in-place-upgrade.418/
