Just sharing to you photos of my upgrade. Had to buy a GPU sag support from Amazon just to be sure as the founders did not come with any support bracket. I also bought a Corsair 12VHPWR cable from Best Buy as the stock was too stiff and hits my side panel. Also, I had to upgrade to a Corsair 1000W PSU as the stock only has 2x 8pin PCIE connectors and the 4080 needs 3x8pin PCIE.

Dude this is awesome, I've been saving my pennies and toying with the idea of upgrading to a 4080 but was unsure, and you've inspired me to just do it! Looks like they're starting to lower in price too since the Super is about to be released.

just get the 4080 super it will be cheaper and better. i have a 3070 and I'm either getting a 7800XT or a 4070 when prices drop no rush.

Will the super work in this rig? Might be a silly question but I'm a total noob with this stuff so any advice is most welcome! I'd definitely prefer the super tbh so if that'll fit/work just as well as the base 4080 I'll just get the super. Cheers mate 🙏

well depending on what version, you get it should be the same size measure your current GPU then compare specs.

Yeah. 4080 super is a better deal than the 4080 but so hard to grab one these days. The 4080 was $100 off at Best Buy when I bought it.

the FE editions of any NVidia card are the most compact of them all BUT also run the HOTTEST of any cards out there.

keep that in mind the smaller the card the warmer it will run.

i just upgraded to a Gigabyte Gaming OC RX 7900 XTX man is it awesome.

if you don't need RT don't buy NVidia that's why you pay more for ray tracing.

AMD beats them in pure power rasterization performance for less money.

and the AFMF technology is a game changer for games that don't have frame generation built in.

I was actually torn between the 4080 and 7900 xtx but I like maxing out ray tracing in games. Compared to the 3080 that came stock with my PC, the 4080 runs cooler and draws less power with all settings maxed out. The 3080 was running at 320W versus 280W for the 4080. Congrats on the new set up. Would you mind sharing the photo? Thanks.

I ordered a 4080 Super, it's the Palit one, bigger than the 3080 but will still fit in the case. Excited to get it installed and take it for a spin 😍

I recently ordered a Palit 4080 Super, it's larger than the installed 3080 but will still fit the case. Very excited to install and spin it up! Your post definitely inspired me to take the plunge so thanks mate 🙏
