Hi,

I am getting readonly filesystem errors on my chromebook, normally indicating an faulty disk (I guess flash) in this chromebook. Is it possible to replace this flash (possibly with a larger version???)

Hope anyone can help.

IIRC your model has a 128GB drive, that might be an eMMC or a SSD, though if you are having drive issues it's likely an eMMC. Some of these were built with an M.2 connector for a SSD, some were not. If you open it up and look under the ribbon cable that runs between the motherboard and the USB board you should either see a SSD, see the M.2 socket or see that there is no M.2 socket:

If there is an M.2 socket you are good to go, just drop whatever size NVMe drive that you wish (it only supports 2 lanes, so will be slower than typical for NVMe drives). If there is no socket then the fix is going to involve surface mount soldering, which is best handled by a competent technician.
