I have broken Acer Aspire E1-571 with failed screen. Acer Travelmate P235 seems identical - I mean case, keyboard, ports, hinges, etc. It seems like all except screen is the same. The only difference is that Travelmate has matte screen, matte screen case and different Acer logo on it. I've found used Travelmate P235 in great condition, but without HDD, RAM and battery. Could I switch these elements from my broken Aspire? It seems that such operation would be a succssees.

Any ideas/any hints?

Thanks in advance

Regards

The panel sizes and LED plugs are crucial in swapping these two screens. If you can get the 2 laptops to work install HWINFO, click on the monitor tab and note down screen ID, brand and part number for both. Go to Panelook.com and browse the screen specs. in Search database, you will not only find the LED plug details and panel sizes (incl. thickness) but compatibility with your laptop and availability (where to buy) too. 😉
