My computer is fine when I start it up; however, after using it for a while it will beeps a few times and stops. Time goes by and it beeps again. What is causing it to beep?

This says solved but after 24 hours the beeping is back. I have tried a reboot; however, other web links say it is a hardware issue.

Check the charger connection. The beep is from the charging sound.

I spoke with Acer service department and I disconnected and separated the plug and unhooked it from the computer. I then took a pin and flipped the computer over and pressed in the reset button. This worked for about a day and a half and then it started beeping again. Last night I took the plug out and reset it again today. So far no beep but I am waiting.

What is the exact model of your laptop? If that beep happens again, do a Hard Reset by taking the back cover off, disconnect and take the main battery out and disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and short it mainboard plug +&- pins with a metal flat small screw driver, to reset the CMOS and take the ram out, leave the laptop like that for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, then reconnect everything and reboot the laptop as this should fix that problem as you might have a frozen EC or a Chipset chip that causes these problems. Otherwise and if that sound still is present, take your laptop to an experienced technician or to Acer tech Support in your country so that they can diagnose and fix your laptop. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Steve - I have an Acer Aspire 15-52. I have tried a reset yesterday and left it unplugged for a while before doing the reset and replugging it. So far so good. Your answer is helpful but I am 75 years old and am afraid your answer is beyond me at this point. I looked at You-Tube and my laptop requires the entire back to come off. I bought it last year in March and my warranty is up in about 11 days. FIGURES!
