Good day, i have an Acer A514-54. Ive used the laptop for almost a year now and Ive noticed its been heating up quick lately, turns out the fans stopped working, it spins sometimes after booting up but then it stops, the temps reach about 90 degrees when on use and around 60 when idle. I tried cleaning and checking the connections of the fan but no luck. Is the fan the issue here? Does it need to be replaced? or is this some bios related problem? pls help

Are you sure this model is correct? the a514 laptops only have 1 fan. The Aspire gets hot, how did you measure the temp.? You may have to clean the cooling ducts and replace the fan, not an expensive item and easy to replace if this is a514-54.

im sorry for the misinfo, yes this laptop only has 1 fan. I installed a program that could let me see the temps. Setting the laptop on performace made it reach 85-90° but on battery saving it was around 20-30°. Does a fan from an A54-52 work for this laptop?
