Hello ! been 10 days now that my laptop isn't working properly.

I've been using it mostly for playin an old online game and it worked nicely until a week ago then all of a sudden it started to run very slow even on simple web navigation tasks. i've tried drivers update, reinstalled OS and everything came to my mind to fix it. i'm not receiving any error notification and laptop didn't do any beep/freeze/blackscreen - it's just extremely slow.

From windows task i can see the CPU is always at low % and stuck at 0.39ghz speed.

Temperatures seems average anything around 37°-41°

Any suggestions ?

Thank you 🤞

    You have triggered some sort power savings mode, this happened to me earlier when I screwed around using the ThrottleStop app to increase performance.

    Have you enabled the "maximum performance" power profile from windows power saving settings?

    Does this issue persist when on battery power, plugged in, or both?

    Are there any exclamation marks on Device Manager?

    Have you installed any Acer software that might have triggered a battery-savings profile?

    Are the fans obstructed or not spinning, perhaps triggering a "thermal throttle" mode?

    @LeoM87

    Does the low CPU clock speed occur when the charger is disconnected?

    Looks like I solved.. Idk why but the macchina was running full time under battery saving mode despite setting all windows tuning up for performance and being connected to the cable.

    I got the battery fully run out of power overnight and this morning while connected to cable it started running again at proper speed.
