Aspire T690 when I switch it on, I get a high pitch continuous squeal and nothing on the screen

Hi All,

I've just dug my old Acer computer out of storage and when I switch it on, I get a high pitch continuous squeal and nothing on the screen, in fact the screen goes into sleep mode.

Any ideas as to what is causing this and what I can.

A long continuous beep at power on is an indication that the memory has filed it's initial test. Try reseating the memory sticks to see if that helps.
