My Acer Nitro 5 AN515-44 has a black screen when starting up and the fans go crazy

As I said above my notebook doesn‘t start up like usual. The Display stays black, no Acer logo and the fans go crazy(which they normally dont do).

I recently updated my BIOS to 1.4 from 1.2 but aside from that I didn‘t do anything. I‘m no hardware guy so didn‘t ever open it besides cleaning the fans after this issue came up.

Let me note that my notebook recently sometimes shut down randomly and finally this came about.

Already pressed power for 20 seconds to shut it down but the problem remains after a dozen attempts.
Any advice?

Based on your description, it seems like your computer is not starting up properly and the fans are running at full speed. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:

    1. Reset the BIOS: Try resetting the BIOS to its default settings. To do this, turn off your computer and unplug it from the power source. Then, remove the battery and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. After that, reinsert the battery and plug in the power cord. Turn on your computer and see if the issue is resolved.
    2. Check the RAM: If resetting the BIOS doesn’t work, try removing the RAM from your computer and reinserting it. Make sure that the RAM is properly seated in the slots. If you have more than one RAM module, try removing one at a time and see if the issue is resolved.
    3. Check the hard drive: If the above steps don’t work, try checking your hard drive for errors. To do this, boot your computer into Safe Mode and run a disk check. If any errors are found, try repairing them using the built-in Windows tool.

If none of these steps work, it’s possible that there is a hardware issue with your computer. In that case, I recommend contacting Acer support or taking your computer to a professional repair shop.
