First off I already disconnected every port from all components and then, connected it back up and it didn’t work.. then, I went to a technician, the technician looked over it and said it could be the processor, so there was nothing he could do about it, he then gave up without fixing the problem…

The other technician said it could be the ITE Chip… so if I bought an ITE Chip it would fix the problem…

So what do you guys think? Could it possibly be the ITE chip, if so, which one should I buy to that model as a matter of fact?

please take a look if it helps

  • It is very difficult to give a diagnosis online. In my opinion, if the computer does not turn on and the LEDs do not light up, it is because the 19v voltage or primary voltages are missing.

The LED did light up when I saw the 2nd technician trying to diagnose… both of them says that the notebook turns on, but not the proper way it seems… the fab do not run tho.

both of them say that the LED does light up, I saw when they were trying to debug, the LEDs light did light up and both of them says that the notebook turns on but not the proper way it seems… but the fan doesn’t run btw, and as I said, they already tested a bunch adapters…

So, according to you I should buy a new AC adapter to it?

When you say 19v voltages you mean the AC Adapter PA-1650-86? I should buy a new one? What should I buy?

However, I saw them trying to diagnose, the LED did light up when they were debugging… It seems that the notebook turns itself on and the fan doesn’t run but the LED doesn’t always light up… After I went to the first technician I went to the second one and when he connected another adapter the LED turned on but the notebook didn’t run and neither did the fan.

  • I am referring to the 19v voltage that must be present on the motherboard. This voltage, together with the primary voltages, initializes the motherboard. For the LEDs to light up, the primary voltages must be present. If the LEDs do not light up, it is because there is a lack of primary voltage.

Look to see which lights come on, and what colors. There should be two lights:

You should see the battery indicator light as soon as the charger is connected, and the light should turn blue when the battery is fully charged. That is an indication the charger itself is working. When you press the power button, the power indicator should light up blue. What happens when you try that?
