Acer Swift 3 SF314-54G charges and stops charging itself. Strange sound near the charging port when charging. The charge process takes longer than usual.
Hi, I have a 2019 Acer Swift 3 SF314-54G. I have 2 storage on my laptop, NVMe SSD for booting and HDD (since 2019) as storage. Recently, I:
- Replaced my HDD with a SATA SSD because there were several clusters of bad sectors on the HDD.
- Replaced the battery on my laptop with a new battery because the old battery has 50% health.
- Resetting by deleting all applications and data on my laptop (of course I have backed up the data before).
After calibrating the new battery installation, at first, the battery was in normal condition, when the charge can increase to 100% and decrease (4-5 hours of use).
After a few days of use (less than a week), the battery on this laptop took a long time to charge, in 2 hours it only went up about 3%. When it is charged, the part near the charging port makes a clicking sound like the sound of a spinning hard disk, but when it is not charged, the sound disappears. I don't know if these two things are related to my previous SSD and battery replacement or not.
I have tried several ways:
- Removing the new battery and reattaching it.
- Removing my new battery and replacing with the old battery.
But I still have this problem.
So, what can I do to solve this problem?
Thanks!
