popup color inversion and performance mode issues on Acer Aspire A715-51G after BIOS/GPU updates.

Hello Acer Community,

I'm reaching out to share a peculiar experience I've encountered with my Acer Aspire A715-51G laptop and seek insights or solutions from the community.

I've noticed several unusual behaviors related to the laptop's functionality, especially when switching between performance modes and performing certain actions:

Performance Mode Order Inversion:When switching between performance modes, there's an inversion in the order. It used to follow the sequence (Silent -> Normal -> Performance), but now it operates in the opposite direction.

Color Changes in Pop-Up Text:I've observed that the color of pop-up text changes when switching between performance modes, toggling between uppercase and lowercase, and muting/unmuting the microphone. The inversion in color has added to the quirkiness. Notably, Acer Quick Access appears to influence this behavior, resulting in duplicated pop-up text—both normal and inversed. This duplication makes both versions visible, and Quick Access attempts to force them into a normal order. However, this interferes with the (fn+f) performance mode button toggle, rendering it nonfunctional. Uninstalling Acer Quick Access resolved this particular issue.

This issue arose after updating my Acer Aspire A715-51G laptop's BIOS to version 1.52, which was supposed to address Win11 SV23 support and update CPU microcode. However, I'm not entirely sure whether this issue appeared after the BIOS update or the GPU update. I've also updated the GPU drivers, and to troubleshoot, I attempted to resolve it by reinstalling GPU drivers using DDU, but unfortunately, it didn't solve the issue.

If anyone has encountered similar issues or has recommendations for resolving this matter, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Thank you for your time and support.

Uninstall in Safe Mode the previous NVidia driver(s) with DUU Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) download version 18.0.6.9 as if you don't delete the previous NVidia drivers it can cause symptoms like you are experiencing, as it corrupted the last NVidia driver and it was probably installed corruptly, do that and then install the latest NVidia driver which should fix your problems.
