Nitro 5 AN517-54 Extra Monitor what would be the best way either USB c or HDMI

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my monitor i have plugged into my HDMI port on my laptop but when looking online i have seen i may be limited by what hz it can produce, i also cant see if it a HDMI 1.4 or 2.0 port on the laptop.

I have also seen i may be able to use y USB c port to connect an extra monitor, does anybody know if this is possible and what would be the best way either USB c or HDMI for the best quality picture?

I currently have a HP Pavilion 23XW that i want to upgrade to either a

    Your AN517-54 has one HDMI v2.1 port and one type C ThunderBolt4 port that supports both native HDMI v2.1 and DisplayPort v1.4 video signal outputs.

    So yes, use the ThunderBolt port with a decent Type C v3.2 Gen2-to-HDMI or DisplayPort cable adapter for the 2nd monitor.
