Po3-640 not working anymore, issue with upgrades.

This PC has been a nightmare to upgrade. First of all, the NVME mount that was empty could not be used with common screws, I'm not sure why it didn't or why I can't find any answers online but it was really annoying. Then I went on to attempt to upgrade the current NVME and got a stripped screw that is pretty much impossible to fix.

Ok, so I got a SATA SSD and attempted to use that as a boot drive, but when I went to install windows no drives were found and it isn't broken because when I go to the bios it does tell me that the two devices are connected properly clear as day.

I can't format it because the computer doesn't detect it outside of the bios and obviously I can't get onto windows because my NVME no longer fits as the screw is stripped and unable to be remove

The below list are the M.2 SSDs recommended for the Predator PO3-640 and the M.2 securing screw, you don't use ordinary screws for the M.2 SSD drive as they are special and standardized screws for all M.2 SSD drives! You can buy these screws separately on eBay, Amazon or any electronic shop.

After you installed the M.2 SSD drive and you are doing a Clean Install of Win-11 on the M.2 SSD drive, you need to install the IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver version 19.2.0.1003 during the Win-11 installation process as and after your system will recognize the M.2 SSD boot drive and you can install Win-11 on the new M.2 SSD, You must be doing things wrongly as the PO3-640 is an excellent desktop and operates perfectly on Win-11.

These are all the compatible 2.5" SATA III and M.2 SSD drives and the M.2 SSD screws recommended for the PO3-640 desktop.

Using the IRST did help me, I didn't use the one you sent me but I'm pretty sure it would work anyways.

However no the 2*3 screw does not fit the second m.2 slot but to be honest. I'm not bothered anymore, I got unlucky with the stripped screw and I have no clue why the stand off screw doesn't fit (I do have the one listed below, believe me, it doesn't fit my one).

That is very strange and unusual for one of those M.2 SSD drive threads not to be the M2*3mm, as you should have contacted Acer, as it doesn't matter if your PO3-640 is out of warranty, as that is an Acer faulty mobo product and Acer should replace it or fix it, you should contact Acer anyway and complain, as that should NOT be happening!

As all the M.2 SSD securing mobo screw holes have a standard size of M2*3mm. If you broke a screw into the mobo then you need to get the broken screw out with a suitable size easy-out or if you damaged the thread, then you need to rethread with a tapping tool to a bigger size and a different screw thread, these are your only options.
