This is the light on the power button? It should only light when the charger is plugged in and be amber when charging and blue when fully charged. So that is working as expected unless it's blinking. Can you connect an external monitor using the USB-C port to see if you get a display there?

    (1) Was it plugged in when this happened?

    (2) Is the LED light blinking, orange, or blue when plugged in?

Black screen with no backlight? Or blank screen with backlight? Do brightness up/down keys near top of keyboard respond?

By backlight I assume you mean a light behind the keyboard, and if so there isn't.

Also the brightness keys dont respond

No. Not the keyboard. The screen's LED backlight.

Is the screen completely blaCk with no hint of light? Or is it a blaNk screen with white or grey white light background — like blaNk piece of white paper?

In a darkened room and plugged in and turned on, can you see any back light whatsoever coming from the screen. Even a faint glow? Do brightness up/down keys near top of keyboard respond?

Not the power button. Do the 2 keys in the top row of the keyboard (shown below) respond? They have sunray symbols. They are the screen brightness up and down keys.

Try this plugged in. Short press the power button. Then see if the right sunray symbol key responds by tapping on it a few times. If not, short press the power button again. Then again see if the right sunray symbol key responds.

That didn't work also I did that before when you asked me to I was just letting you know as an additional that I didn't know if the power button worked, I have also just done that and it has changed nothing

I was watching youtube then my screen went completely blank,

So essentially nothing responded after this happened —- except the LED turns on and off when you plug in & unplug the charger.

Did the LED ever light up orange or blinking after this happened when plugged in? Or did it turn and remain blue pretty quickly?

I didn't look at the light immediately to know if it was blinking or orange once it happened however it hasn't turned orange when plugged in

While there's a slim chance the battery pack failed from this description, unfortunately IMO it's more likely the MT CPU/GPU and thus mainboard has failed. Google search the keywords "cp311-3h" "motherboard" for vendors who ship replacement mainboards to your location. Cost for this budget chromebook usually run about $50-60usd from places like Aliexpress plus about 2 hours technician labor if you don't do it yourself. Sorry.

If it was mine, I'd shop around for a new chromebook convertible with more reliable Intel or AMD CPU-based motherboards. But if you really like this particular budget model, it might be worthwhile and more practical to get a new one. They are now less than $200usd.
