All of a sudden my integrated camera is not working and not detected. I tried to update the driver but windows said the most recent driver is already installed. I then followed the instruction to uninstall the camera from the device manager and then reboot the computer. Now the camera is not showing at all in the device manager and I'm not sure what the next step should be.

If the camera doesn't come up after you have deleted the driver and rebooted the OS, then its either the eDP cable or the plug that plugs into the CMOS Module that is either lose or its faulty or the camera is faulty, so check those two things out (see caption below) as the OS should detect the 1.2MP camera after a driver delete and reboot. Below are all the details of all the replacement parts you need if you want to replace the camera, as its cheaper and less of a sweat to buy an external camera 😅

It can also be the underlying internal USB port the camera sits on. Does the mic work? It's on the same card…
