Hi Acer team!

I'm looking to upgrade my laptop with a new SSD, RAM, and a battery. Is that even possible for my model? Could you name or link compatible parts?

If not, what should I look for in order for the parts to be compatible? Explain it to me like I'm an 8-year-old. Thanks!

It looks like the memory is soldered to the motherboard, so not upgradeable. You can use either a SATA or NVMe SSD in the M.2 slot, 2280 form factor. Depending on which CPU is installed the NVMe would either be x2 or x4 speeds. This is in addition to the SATA port typically used for a HDD, which can be changed to a SSD. Batteries should be fairly easy to find on the secondary market. Here are the Acer part numbers:

    Those are all interchangeable…

Both of those drives are PCIe 4.0, so support higher speeds than your laptop does. They will work, but at the lower PCIe 3.0 speed. Better is to spend less and get the older design. That battery ought to work, and if it doesn't the vendor should take it back, since they say it works. :)

Thanks for the detailed answer. I googled for a popular SSD. Let's say:

    Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD (MZ-V8P2T0BW), 2 TB, PCIe 4.0, 7,000 MB/s Read, 5,000 MB/s Write, Internal Solid State Drive

And then there is another (in half price):
    Crucial P3 Plus 500GB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe Interne SSD - Up to 4700MB/s - CT500P3PSSD8

Would that fit in? Any noticeable difference? It says ''To maximize the performance of the 980 PRO, check the Intel or AMD website to see if your system supports PCIe 4.0.'' in a disclaimer. Seems both are Gen 4 PCIe.

I hope this helps similar searches.

As for the battery, I found this one:

    C14B8K 4ICP5/57/80 Laptop Battery for Acer Chromebook CB3-111 CB5-311 CB5-571 CB3-531 Swift 3 SF314-51 SF314-52 ES1-512 ES1-511 R5-471T R7-371T R3-131T ES1-511 ES1-111M R7-371T Aspire 5 A515-51

Would it be a good fit?
