I recently got the Acer predator Orion with the 3060ti and a i7 12700f,I realized there was only a 500 watt power supply in the pc I was wondering if it’s safe to run my pc when nvidia recommends 650 watts ?

    Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: Your PC has a new ATX12VO PSU which can't be directly compared to the way more common "old" power supplies. Besides, NVIDIA's PSU recommendations are bit high on purpose.

well, this is just an educated guess BUT i think they are using lower powered PSU's when not needed. for example, my 5000 from last year came with a 12700F-RTX 3070- and an 800 watt 80 plus gold PSU. i replaced that PSU with an 850-watt platinum Cooler Master XG PLUS and it has a digital readout that tells me the temperature-fan speed-wattage- being used. so, i have replaced the stock cooler with a Noctua NH-U12A and added 2 more ARGB fans and a crucial gaming p5 SSD and 4 crucial 4x16-DDR5@4800MHz so i have more stuff running now than it came with and when gaming-bench testing the highest i EVER see the PSU power readout go is 330 watts. so maybe that's why.
