During initial setup internet connection to network was disrupted, laptop reset to choose a network but does not display anything and won’t respond to any commands? Internet problems were resolved and laptop was shut down and restarted but still does not offer any networks to choose from.

Post a screenshot of Device Manager as it opens if possible. Do not manually expand any folder.

never got that far into setup, once internet connection was disrupted, the install stopped. I called Acer customer service and was told my just purchased laptop based on snid number was out of warranty. I repackaged and returned the laptop.

Yes, normally on a just purchased device it is easier and faster to just swap the unit out with the vendor. Going through Acer support would likely require sending it in to a service center and waiting for a repair. Let the vendor deal with that hassle. Unfortunately it sounds like the vendor sent you one that had been returned due to issues with the WLAN card instead of a new, unopened box. :(

    Who was the vendor/seller?
