I have an issue with the additional slot on my Nitro 5 AN515-54-574Q Intel Core i5 8GB 512GB SSD GTX 1650 15.6': As shown in the picture, the factory-installed 512GB SSD is in one slot by default, but when I move it to the secondary slot, it's not recognized by the system! I can't even boot because Windows is installed on it. Below, there's the sticker that mentions support for M.2 on both slots. What could be happening? I bought another M.2 and I can't use both of them.

That should not be happening, as the PCIE/SATA M.2 SSD 2nd slot should accommodate and work 100% with a PCIe3x2 or PCIe3x4 type M.2 drives. The M.2 SSD 512GB WD SN530 with its interface of PCIe3x4 NVMe v1.4 that works as the boot drive in the PCIE slot should work 100% in the 2nd PCIE/SATA slot also.

If you want to buy another M.2 drive, then try the below drives that Acer lists in the Nitro AN515-54 SG or has tested additionally in the list below. Or try to clean the laptops 2nd M.2 SSD drive slot with some alcohol as it could have some corrosion, or there could be something wrong with the slots pins, check all that out first.

    AN515-54 Storage Subsystem Specs:

M.2 listed PCIe3x2 or PCIe3x4 model compatible drives that Acer fits to the AN515-54 laptop. Acer does not list any M.2 SSD SATA III type drives.

    • 128GB - KINGSTON N8SP2 RBU-SNS8154P3/128GJ1 - PCIe Gen.3x2
    • 128GB - SANDISC N8SP2 SDAPNUW-128G-1014 - PCIe Gen.3x2
    • 256GB - WD N8SP4 SDAPNTW-256G-1014 - PCIe Gen.3x4
    • 256GB - KINGSTON RBU-SNS8154P3/256GJ1 - PCIe Gen.3x2
    • 256GB - HYNIX N8SP2 HFM256GDJTNG-8310A - PCIe Gen.3x2
    • 512GB - WD N8SP4 SDAPNTW-512G-1014 - PCIe Gen.3x4
    • 512GB - SANDISC N8SP2 SDAPNUW-512G-1014 - PCIe Gen.3x2

These are "Test Compatible Components" that are additional M.2 SSD drives that Acer has tested with the AN515-54 laptop that work 100%, so look at these M.2 drives specs up and see if you can get the capacity drive that you want as all these drives work 100% also.

@mdiegot make sure that the SSDs are installed correctly by gently pushing further if they are loose.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!
