Hi,

My laptop screen was flickering and was getting difficult to read in it. I did LCD and cable change of LCD change on Nitro AN515-57 and seemed the computer was working perfectly.

But again he same problem happened again during the Zoom classes but only in milliseconds.

Should I change some other laptop component part or again the cable or LCD.

The service was done by ACER.

    Try windows x

    go to device manager
    expand display adapter
right click on display driver - uninstall
    Restart the computer

    It should work fine..

If it is still not working
Uninstall the display adapter from device manager
    Dont restart the computer.
    Go to support.acer.com
    chose your country
type snid or chose your model
    go to drivers
    Install the display driver

    It should work fine..

A slight flickering screen problem in your Nitro AN515-57 happens because of the Intel Iris Xe Graphics driver (that you don't need to update for your AN515-57 laptop) as that is what causes this problem. I speak from personal experience as its also happening on my Nitro AN515-56, but ever since I stopped upgrading the Intel Iris Xe Graphics drivers and settled on a driver version like below the flickering has stopped.

Try to roll back the Intel driver to the last driver before what you have now through Device Manager, the driver that I use is the - Intel Iris Xe Graphics Version 31.0.101.4887 – 6/10/2323, which works for me, if this driver doesn't stop the flickering in your AN515-57, then try the driver before this one and keep rolling them back until you get a driver that stops the flickering, as when you get an Intel driver that works and doesn't flicker then don't allow your laptop to update the Intel driver through windows update. That is the solution that I found that works.

Did you try to update the BIOS? It might fix the flickering issue.

    Dear all,

Apparently did not repeat the same issue when I restarted it even I had online ZOOM course for 3 hours and did not notice a change. Hopefully does not come back in few days.

I noticed that the computer refresh rate advertised is 144Hz but in the Windows display setting is 165, 82.5 and 60 or the Dynamic. Or below in the driver setting of the display driver.

Therefore changing the Hz next time would work since maybe the Nitro5-hardware was customised for 144 and the factory installed a different LCD and now it is another type with a different refresh rate.

Think Acer should consider not producing in bulk amount and have more specific/compatible products.
