Anyone know the status of the Orion X that was advertised on the Acer website as abvailable in September. Ecommerce email response is generic with no help.

That's not unusual for new models. They often underestimate how long it's going to take to fill the channel for launch, or they run into a manufacturing snag that delays it. My assumption is they are working hard to get them available for the holiday season… We never know for sure when something is going to actually show up until it appears in the Acer store or at a vendor.

Well, it's been three months since the announced release date of the Orion X, and still not available in the USA. To me that's poor marketing for Acer to announce a release date and not be even close to keeping it and with no other messaging. Makes me wonder about their product support, etc. Just my thoughts.

Four months since the announced release date of the Orion X. Now available in Asia, Europe and Canada, but NOT USA. What's up?

well why would you even want one? every review is negative. small case and it runs very very very hot way hotter than it should. so, unless you live in Alaska and have it outside or in a non-heated room why bother?

Good point. I'm looking for a SFF replacement for my Corsair One that 3 years old, but need a SFF gamer.

SFF and Gamer kind of always will mean Hot… It takes room to put decent cooling in, so the tradeoff is lower performance. The X looks like they did a decent job with the cooling, but it's not going to be up to the level of the PO5 or PO7 designs with the larger cases. I do expect it will out perform the PO3 models though, except for those that have been modded to enhance the cooling.
