Download and install HWINFO, click on Monitor and note the brand, make and model number. In your browser type: https://panelook.com and type in your panel model number, either under the brand or without brand. you will see al the specifications like IPS and TN. It is an IPS screen in the US but I believe not in SE Asia.

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for quick answer. I haven't bought laptop yet, just trying to find this info so I can decide...

Some review sites says that a315-59 has ips panel but I'm not sure about this one....

Yeah, it is country dependent and from what country the retailer is importing laptops. Best to quickly check in the shop the vertical viewing angle by opening the lid of the laptop to maximum tilt or horizontal and if the picture is still sharp and bright it will be IPS, TN degrades very quickly when tilting the lid. That model has an IPS panel in the States.

And today I've got from seller which is assuring me 100% that panel is TN type.... 😂 🤣 😂

As you said, I think that I'll find a store with laptop in it and turn it on to see viewing angles... Crasy

Once you bought the laptop and want to verify what screen is fitted in your laptop, IPS or TN, what the refresh rate is, what the anti-glare coating is and if you can upgrade your panel do the following: Download HWINFO freeware and install that. Click on Monitor in HWINFO and note the screen Brand, Model number and Make. Post that complete HWINFO screen and we will find the panel details or click on this link https://www.panelook.com/ and find the details yourself by typing the Model number with or without the Brand in the Panelook search box. As I wrote before three Acer laptops with the same model name bought from 3 different vendors turned out to have all different panel brands, refresh rates and types this can even happen by the same retailer . Buying from a trusted, Acer certified Brick&Mortar retailer and not online at Amazon is recommended.
