hi, I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54-728C my screen was damaged and it showed a bunch of red pixels in that area, i brought it to warranty provider company initially they installed a screen which had some bad pixels and it was a little bit off-center, i rejected it then they installed an even more off-center screen to the point that I barely could see the blue highlight under the Taskbar apps that shows which apps are currently open but i found only one dead pixel on it. it goes dark when i open a dark or black windows on my desktop and after closing, it takes couple seconds to go back to normal it's so annoying i think they installed a cheaper downgraded model not the exact one (Device Manager shows that it currently is NV156FHM-NX3 Code: BOE090F), After the replacement, I also noticed that sometimes when the lid is closed, it turns on by itself and shows login screen, sometimes there is a notification sound and it turns off after a few moments, sometimes I have to open the lid myself and close it again to turn it off Whereas back then it used to be turned on only for Windows updates and when I opened the lid, it would show the blue screen of Windows being updated, not the login screen. I'm not sure whether this is normal or a new problem. they probably threw the original screen away by now, so i don't know what the default pre-installed screen model was. i was looking for it on the google that i came across this:

Apparently some who also had a AN515-54-728C model laptop had similar problem, he said his original screen model is LM156LF2F01 but these three websites say that the screen model for this laptop is NV156FHM-N4k: https://laptopmedia.com/laptop-specs/acer-nitro-5-an515-54-728c/ https://www.laptop-lcd-screen.co.uk/shop/ACER-NITRO-5-AN515-54-728C-15.6-LAPTOP-SCREEN__604878.asp https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/688035/acer-nitro-5-screen-black-with-vertical-and-horizontal-green-and-white-linea

so now i'm confused, is there a way for me to confirm the exact lcd model number without having the original screen? i want someone to confirm and tell me what the original screen model was so I can eventually buy it with confidence and also explain why these websites said something else. Thanks.

The LCD screen model that you have fitted in your AN515-54-728C with vendor/model #: NV156FHM-NX3 is a Resolution: FHD (1920x1080) Refresh Rate: 144Hz type screen and the other screen model LM156LF2F01which is the same resolution and refresher rate but they are NOT the oem 15.6" Acer screens for the Nitro AN515-54-xxxx model that you have. The below screen list is all the oem screens listed by Acer for the Nitro AN515-54 models:

All Vendor/Model name 15.6" Wide Screen for the Nitro 5 AN515-54-xxxx laptop:

    • LP156WFC-SPD1 - 30 pin video connector - FHD (1920x1080)

    • B156HAN02.1 - 30 pin video connector - FHD (1920x1080)

    • N156HCE-EN1 - 30 pin video connector - FHD (1920x1080)

    LP156WFG-SPF3 - 40 pin connector - Refresh Rate:144Hz Resolution: FHD (1920x1080) - can be upgraded to a RR: 165Hz screen

    NV156FHM-N4K - 40 pin connector - Refresh Rate:144Hz Resolution: FHD (1920x1080) - can be upgraded to a RR: 165Hz screen

    • B156HAN02.0 - 30 pin video connector - FHD (1920x1080)

As you can see from the list above, the two 144Hz refresher rate screens (that I've given you links to) are the oem screen for your AN515-54-728C laptop, and that is the reason why this vendor/model screen #: NV156FHM-NX3 Code: BOE090F that you have in your laptop doesn't fit, and its the wrong screen, just like the other screen vendor/model: LM156LF2F01 is also NOT the correct screens for this laptop. Get the correct screens above for your laptop as those screens will fit 100% and will work properly, plus, you can also upgrade the screen to a 165Hz refresher rate that will give you a better image.

Sorry, it's been a while, thanks for the reply, I'm now 100% sure that the default and correct OEM screen model for Nitro AN515-54-728C is LM156LF2F01 from Panda Electronics, here are some proof:

I just wanted to ask whether you think that Acer removed this model from it's list of OEM screens and replaced it with NV156FHM-N4K after US sanctions on Panda Electronics (Picture below) in November 2020? cause I had seen this list that you mentioned before and NV156FHM-N4K or LP156WFG-SPF3 are not the correct screens for this laptop. I would also appreciate it if you could give me a link to that list so I can take another look.
