Does Acer have an official archive site to download and accomplish BIOS upgrade for old notebooks?

Hello Acer community

For an old Acer Aspire One:

• KAV60 LO3 (according with the slot for the RAM)

I want to know if exists an official site (I couldn't find) to download the latest BIOS upgrade for that model.

I want to resolve two things:

(1) Remove the following Bug Error about the Bios

[ 2.773805] ACPI BIOS Error (bug): Failure creating named object [_SB.PCI0._OSC.CAPB], AE.ALREADY_EXISTS (28200925/dsfield-184)
[ 2.773902] ACPI Error: AE_ALREADY_EXISTS, CreatedBufferField failure (20200925/dswload2-477)
[ 2.773979] ACPI Error: Aborting method _SB.PCI0._OSC due to previous error (AE_ALREADY_EXISTS) (20200925/psparse-529)

It because the notebook uses Linux PeppermintOS 32 bits. Well, the OS works fine in the notebook, but that error message appears 3 times while the startup process.

(2) Avoid a RAM speed downgrade

For a RAM stick based on PC2-6400, which is 800 about data transfer, it according with "DDR Memory Speeds and Compatibility", I did do realize through the dmidecode command that the speed is downgraded to 533.

This notebook was upgraded about the RAM. Currently it has a Golden Memory 2GB PC2-6400 and the previous one removed was an Elpida 1GB 1Rx8 PC2-6400S-666. Well both are PC2-6400 and I am assuming the downgrade happened for that one too.

With the very old systems like this, Acer has taken down the pages for drivers and BIOS updates. I can only assume they decided it was taking up too much server space for systems that were causing very little traffic. You might be able to find them archived on third party servers, but those types of changes are unlikely to be in any updates they have done. Likely the memory speed limitation is chipset based. Putting faster memory on a board running chips at the slower speed will not be sped up by a BIOS update, since clocks are generated in the chipset, not in software. There were a lot of different Acer Aspire One models in the 10-15 years ago period. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx. We don't have references for motherboard numbers.
