Acer Nitro N50-640 Gaming PC - (Intel Core i5-12400F, 16GB, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, Windows 11)
Arrived today, booted it up and starting going through the windows 11 set up. PC kept black screening, sometimes the PC would restart and the set up was back at step 1, sometimes it would return and I could continue the set up. When windows was set up the PC would reboot a minute or two after I logged in.
I called Acer customer support, they told me to do clean install of Windows (pressed Alt+F10 at boot, clicked through the options, PC spent a couple hours doing it's thing). The PC did not restart or have screen issues whilst reinstalling windows.
This seems to have helped, but not solved the problem. I'm able to use the PC for longer now but still get the black screen issue after 5- 10 minutes of normal use (using web browser, opening and closing files, installing steam).
- I have turned off the auto restart upon error, so now the screen will go black but the PC stays on. Occasionally the screen will come back on. Sometimes the monitor will go into power saver mode as if the cable has been disconnected, sometimes it doesn't.
- I uninstalled the nVidia driver, the pc started with the basic windows driver and the same issue occured
- Updated the nVidia driver and issue still occurs
- Have tried plugging the PC into different wall sockets but issue still occurs.
Can you please suggest some things I can try to get the machine to work? If you need further information please just let me know.
