I just picked up a used 713-3w off eBay and was curious if it was possible to upgrade the WiFi card on it to a wifi 6e compatible one? I have a 6e router, that’s why I asked. Otherwise I’ll stick with the wifi 6.

"NO" you can't, as this laptop has the Wireless + Bluetooth Module (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) of an Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (Harrison Peak 2) - with chip: AX201.NGWG.NV - Form factor: M.2 2230 - Frequency band: 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz (160MHz) it does NOT have a 6E type Wi-Fi and this laptop can't be upgraded to a 6E card Intel AX211 or an Intel AX411 type newer cards.

I've just tried to do the same upgrade to my Nitro AN515-56 11 Gen laptop that has a an AX1650i Wi-Fi/BT card model and tried to upgrade it to the Intel AX211 6E BT 5.3 card and it doesn't work. Leave your Wi-Fi/BT card as it is as its a real hassle to take the old card out and replace it, especially replacing the antenna wires for the MAIN and AUX black/White wires that are tiny and very hard to reconnect.

Just as a little added info… On the CP713-3W models the WLAN card is soldered directly to the motherboard, it is not an M.2 form factor like Steven mentions. You are running an 11th gen chipset, so theoretically the AX211 would work if it were on a socket. The AX201 will run on 10th gen an later chipsets, the AX211 on 11th gen and later, the AX411 on 12 gen and later. Intel, for some reason, doesn't support the newer cards on the older chipsets. :(
