I´m confused about the information on the amount of slots available and capacity for RAM in my laptop (it comes with 4GB installed). A Crucial Diagnostic and ACER Specs tells me I have two slots for a max capacity of 16GB but some people are reporting only 1 slot when they open their laptop. Can someone please help me?

Your model does not have a PCIe m.2 slot for a NVMe SSD, you can change the HDD for any Sata 2.5" SSD, see Benchmark what has been tested: https://ssd.userbenchmark.com/SpeedTest/738/SSD

The CPU is not W11 compatible, and you have either 1 or 2 RAM DDR3 slots to upgrade the memory up to 16GB.

The ES1-521-20x2 laptop has no M.2 SSD slot(s) and this laptop has 2x RAM slots with a max total quoted by Acer of 32GB with max capacities of 16GB per ram slot at max DDR3--1866MHz type ram to make this laptop perform at its quickest with a 2.5" SSD boot drive and with 2x 16GB DDR3-1866MHz type ram, together with this laptops oem AMD E E2-6110/4core/4threads/1,5GHz cpu.

Also note, that this laptop has provisions for a 1x 2.5" SATA III type drive which can be upgraded to a 2.5" SSD SATA III type drive at Fast data transfer rate (Mbits/sec, max) - 6.0Gbits/s, but you can also use this laptops DVD slot space by taking the DVD player/recorder out and inserting a 2.5" HDD caddy to add another 2.5" SATA III HDD or SSD type drive for more storage. I suggest using the Samsung 2.5" EVO range of SSD drives as they are the best and most reliable from my experience, as I've been using one of these 2.5" SSD drives for over 8 years in an Aspire V3-571G laptop and my Samsung 850 EVO SSD is working perfectly and hasn't missed a beat.
