Disable or uninstall any Battery Limiter bloatware or the 80% charge limit option in Acer Care Center.

This can be either a power (battery) or GPU driver issue. Start plugging in your adapter and wait till the amber battery LED charging light turns blue after 1 hours or so, if not turn off the laptop the correct way by clicking on Start (task bar) and on Power icon>Shutdown. Once the battery is fully charged boot in Safe Mode https://www.howtogeek.com/750801/how-to-boot-into-safe-mode-on-windows-11/
and observe the system for a few hours, try some heavy task with Windows Base Video adapater (your GPU adapter(s) are now disabled) graphics will be very poor. If no hanging/freezing you have to uninstall your GPU drivers with DDU in Safe Mode: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000091878/graphics.html check you are connected to the internet and just rebboot, Windows11 will reinstall compatible GPU drivers. If you have AMD-Intel-Nvidia drivers uninstall everything including the graphics consoles.

If you cannot charge the battery to 100% run a Battery report and check the last fully charged capacity, if that is low and never shows a 100% charge point consider getting a new adapter and battery or bring your laptop to Acer Services in your country to check (include the adapter).

  • If your laptop freezes during heavy internet use and watching videos on the internet, it could be your internet providers transmission that is at fault or and if you are using a wireless card and not the LAN then its the A715-42Gs Intel® Wi-Fi 6 AX200 Gig+ Wi-Fi/BT card that your laptop has, as it either needs a new driver update or its current driver needs to be refreshed or reinstalled in Device Manager. Try these methods as your internet should work perfectly with this fairly new laptop.
