Predator Helios 500 ph517-61 brightness issue

Hello all,

Weird problem here. I have a Predator Helios 500 ph517-61, running windows 11 22H2. On initial bootup after sitting for a few hours the screen is not as bright as normal, maybe 80% brightness. It doesn't get brighter until I restart my laptop, but after restart the screen is noticeably brighter. I can restart immediately or after a while of it running, and same result, the screen is brighter. I am making sure that the brightness is maxed on initial startup in my settings, and my power plan is 100% performance as I keep it plugged in all the time (yes I know, not great for my battery, but I do not care). I keep all drivers up to date and windows as up to date as possible. Anybody have any experience with this issue?

I tend to avoid adaptive brightness. Can have issues. Try disabling it.

TrySoftware battery reset - Unplug the AC power adapter. Press and hold the Power button down for 15 seconds.
