I purchased this laptop last year. It showed great performance for a few months. But now it has started showing issues, especially responsiveness and performance issues when I used it for heavy editing software and games. It stuck to the level of great frustration. Moreover, its battery life isn't as good as I expected. What should I do with it?

Soldered LPDDR5 RAM, so your RAM can't be upgraded but 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, working at 5500 MHz in dual-channel mode is sufficient for Window 11 and that speed is very fast. One M.2 PCIe x4 slot, which is limited to Gen 3 SSD 2280, you can upgrade your storage up to 2TB NVMe Gen 3 SSD (or Gen4 but it will run at Gen3 speed).

VRAM will be limited when your resources drop and game performance will be proportionally affected, so keep the available memory as high as possible, 3.8 GB would be ideal. Uninstall all bloatware, check in the Task Manager Performance tab what is running that uses high % memory and what you don't need disable or uninstall. Limit telemetric, Anti-virus software (only use Defender) trial versions and 3rd party browsers that continuously update and run at the background like Acer Care Center (uninstall that). Refresh your system image and check the system files for corruption: make sure internet is working and paste this command in the Command Prompt opened as administrator: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and press the Enter, key should complete, rerun if it fails. Then in the same Command Prompt window paste this: SFC /scannow and press Enter. This must end with "Found no integrity violations." rerun till you see that. Finally get rid of junk files and old Windows update records: Open Windows Storage Sense and scan your c:/ drive then click on the Temporary bin icon at the left bottom of Storage Sense screen and it may find GBs of old update data that you should purge. Update Windows11 monthly and check for updates weekly, check Optional Updates and accept all offered updates, you should now have Windows11 Home version 22H2 build 22621.2215

Your system performance should be a lot better after all this.

Battery life is about 4 hours, 5 hours if you are not online 24/7 and reduce the screen brightness to 80%.
