Your laptop has USB-C, Thunderbolt 4, USB charging, are you using a USB-C charger or the conventional AC (brick) power adapter?
The Battery Meter indicating 0% may be incorrect, a new battery needs to complete 1 full charge cycle for BIOS and MS ACPI Battery controller to register the battery capacity. Boot to BIOS with F2 and reset with F9, save settings on exit and reboot. Uninstall these 2 battery drivers in Device manager and make sure internet is working, reboot Windows will reinstall the drivers.
If you are using Battery Limiting bloatware or the ACC feature that stops battery charging at 80%, uninstall/disable the apps.

Charge the battery till the amber LED turns blue, wait a few minutes. Unplug the adapter/charger and use the laptop all day till it turns itself automatically off, (hibernate mode). Plug-in the adapter/charger and charge again till the amber charge LED turns blue. Wait 5 minutes and boot to Windows, make a battery report and check what the last full charge capacity is, how many hours battery life is estimated.

  • I've got the exact same laptop the Acer Aspire A515-57-56UV (my laptop hasn't got a dedicated gpu which is what the G stands for) and my laptop has a normal charged with round plug or the USB-C charging port also. I use the round charging port and the laptop charges perfectly and keeps its charge normally with the charger plugged in and if just on battery power it lasts about 4.5 hrs of normal use not Maximum Battery Run Time of 7 hours like Acer says. Remember if you disconnect the charger then the laptop loses charge, especially after 4 days, this also happens to my other laptop the Acer Nitro, as its normal, there is nothing wrong with your laptop.

I bought the same laptop a few days ago and am facing the same issue. After shutting down the laptop for 11/12 hours, It drains 9~10% battery. It's worth mentioning that I disabled the fast startup, calibrated the battery, reset the battery, and reinstalled the battery drivers. I have been using laptops since 2012 from several brands and never faced this type of issue. Is there any solution to the problem? I am fed up.
