I'm having trouble installing a new operating system on my laptop. I
own a travelmate laptop, I recently upgraded the Ram and replaced the
HDD with a Samsung SSD m.2
I encountered
the problem when I installed Kali Linux on my device. I was able to
freely install with a bootable installer. Or that's what I thought. When
I opened it thinking that I successfully installed it , instead of
booting on the Kali Linux it went to the blue screen or what we call
windows recovery. I tried shutting it down and went to bios, I saw that
there was nothing in the boot order. So I tried installing it again,
this time more carefully. It still ended the same. I already partitioned
the drive so it was formatted. I do not know what to do. Please help, I
need to install it ASAP.
These are some actions/details I have done. I hope it will help you fix my problem:
Disabled fast and secure bootI set it to UefiI disabled
absolute persistent module
The bootable installer works perfectly
This is displayed before kali linux installation "some of your hardware needs non-free firmware files to operate"
Some theories I entertained is that I need a
certain driver or firmware to run before I can install an OS. Please
help me as soon as possible.
