I have recently purchased an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58 model and would like to know if I can install additional storage and if it I do it myself would it void the warranty.

Thanks

There are two M.2 NVMe Gen 4 slots, so you can add another M.2 NVMe Gen 4 SSD in the second slot or you can upgrade the current M.2 SSD to a larger SSD. In addition to that, you have a 2.5-inch SATA drive bay for HDD or SSD. The mounting accessories are located inside the box.https://laptopmedia.com/highlights/inside-acer-nitro-5-an515-58-disassembly-and-upgrade-options/
It is very simple like replacing a laptop battery but it will void the Acer warranty so you may want to bring your new laptop to Acer Services in your country to do the upgrading.

@Romfordboy72 For the warranty inquiry, it will be up to the country. It is best to ask the local Acer or the retail shop first. If the laptop doesn't have the Void sticker on the bottom, then you can disassemble the laptop without voiding the warranty. It will be voided if you damage the components by yourself.
