Hi there,

I have recently added two new DDR 4 DIMMs to my Nitro n50-600.

The stock RAM was 2x Kingston ACR26D4U9S1KA-4 4GB DDR4 @2666 MHz

I've added 2x Corsair CMV4GX4M1A2666C18 4GB DDR4 @2666 MHz

Now the good news is that the new DIMMs are working fine, and I now have a total memory of 16GB showing in Windows and the PC is working fine.

The bad news is that Windows is reporting a memory clock speed of only 2400MHz, rather than the 2666 MHz I was expecting:

I've had a poke around in the BIOS but I can't seem to find any option to change the memory clock speed. Is anyone able to help me understand my options here? Obviously not a massive issue, but it would be good to understand if I can do anything and/or if a BIOS update will unlock options to change the clock speeds.

    Hi,
The Corsair modules have "Automatic overclocking" feature which is similar to XMP profile in Kingston HyperX modules, unfortunately, there are no settings available in BIOS to enable XMP in your model, so you may have to live with the speed of 2400MHz, if you prefer you can return these Corsair modules and get two modules with JEDEC profile but I would say you will not see much difference in performance between 2400MHz and 2666MHz.
