Hi. I have an Orion PO5-640-EB11 with RTX 3080. In games with Fans on Gaming mode I get max. 76C GPU temp (ambient room temp is about 25C) and while watching 60 Hz YouTube videos and on Auto Fan mode I get about 77C GPU temp.

I was wondering if anyone has done a complete GPU teardown and Re-Pasting of its core as well as memory pads? Is it an easy procedure? My main concern is knowing the correct thermal pad thickness to use for the memory chips. If too thick, it can make the core to overheat.

Acer does have pads for their SSD M.2 drives which are either the blue .20*30*7mm type or the 30*20*3mm, like in the caption below.

Acer does not list any pads or paste for its PO5-640 desktops gpu or for its cpu's. If you want to repaste and change the thermal pads on your RTX3080 gpu, then you will have to completely disassemble the gpu, which is a specialist job and can be difficult to do correctly (this should not be done if your PC is under warranty) so that you can measure the pads size and thicknesses yourself.

My preference is to use the Thermal Grizzly products and their high-end extreme pastes or their liquid metal paste and thermal pads, which imo are the best for cpu's and gpu's,

This is the Acer guide of how to apply Liquid Metal:

that is warm that's 77F, I'm in a room that's 66F and on my 3070 i get 48C on gaming mode @ 1080P-240Hz. i also took the front cover off for better air flow and as you remember i removed the giant GPU bracket blocking the upper fan from getting more air to the GPU and the lower fan is restricted by the HDD caddy also so i removed both. now i do know a 3080 will run warmer than my 3070 especially if you are running 2k or 4k resolutions. did you overclock it? this is how i run mine now, all panels off for ultimate cooling but ambient room temps and the game settings-OC the card- and monitor resolution all factor in.
