thank you that diagram does help. However what is that 4 pin powering? Or is that from the psu to the board?

yea I figured since the 1070 uses the 8 pin it needed that extra power from a more powerful psu anyways. I think I read in another post that the tc-1760 was locked to either igu and or dedicated only. There isn’t an option to use two which maybe due to the psu being so low?? It won’t be used for gaming anyways mostly for work and as my plex server which the igpu should do the job.

Judgig by your posts, you are very quick to only post to either whine, complain and not help fugadug, I posted that to help Rambo23 out, NO other reason(s) as of course I saw that he's got a 4-pin plugged into an 8-pin and that is why I put the mobo diagram as a guide for him, as at #18 its the: ATX_12V-Auxiliary 8-pin power connector" for the mainboard.

😁 I'm just laughing as fugadug the great critic above (read his post) is quick to criticize for giving you that mainboard diagram!

With that 4-pin, see if the TC1760 PSU has 2x 4-pin like that and use two of them for the 8-pin for your gpu. The PSU of the TC1760 is an old Acer proprietary type PSU and has a 4-pin connector, but it will most often be two, which you can use with the gpu or get an adaptor like a 4-Pin Molex to 8-Pin PCI-E Power Adapter Cable. I will need to check again once I open it if there is an extra 4 pin. What’s weird is the specs for this build as per the Acer site had the 1660s . But when I received it it was not in the computer. It was there previously since the metal covers on the back of the case were missing. So I don’t even know where the power connector for the 1660s would even be. Probably why I got it discounted.

Yea it’s weird I think all the F series have the 1660s. I don’t know if they sell the non F with the 1660s due to the block by acer. Just looked and it is only a 300watt.

Rambo23, your Aspire TC-1760 has a 300W Acer proprietary PSU (which I presume you know that the i7-12700 cpu has an integrated graphics) and NOT like fugadug who likes to ridicule and thinks we are all dumb, as your i7-12800 cpu consumes 180W and that is why Acer doesn't have a dedicated GPU card for the Aspire TC-1760 as the oem 300W PSU hasn't got enough power, so be aware of that as I though that you were!

Rambo23, you need to upgrade to an Acer available 500W PSU of the Aspire TC-1780 desktop oem PSU, which is the LITEON - 500W.100-127/220-240V~8/4A - 50/60Hz – Acer part#: DC.5001B.009 PSU, so upgrade to this PSU as they are available and they are cheap, as this 500W PSU will allow you to upgrade the GPU to a higher spec GPU that i7-12800 integrated spec graphics of base 300Mhz to max 1.5Ghz Graphics frequencies give you now, with a better and best GPU card performance for your TC-1760 desktop, make sure you buy a GPU that fits into the case and mainboard space, you need to look at the compact GPU range of GPUs with a suggested 300W PSU that are on the market. Also upgrade the ram and get a PCIe 3x4 M.2 SSD of the like of the Samsung 970 Plus or the WD SN7150 Black drives, as the combination of all of these upgrades will improve the TC-1760 desktop considerably.

Acer didn't rip Rambo23 off as he got this TC-1760 for a good price from the Acer Scratch & Dent Store! Haven’t you read Rambo23 initial post, as you don’t seem to do that very well fugadug!

Also there is nothing wrong with me except towards your attitude fugadug as you don’t help in anything, you first ridicule and belittle then come back with some irrelevant post that entirely confuses the issue(s), change your attitude fugadug as it will be allot more helpful and kinder for all involved, otherwise take your frustrations or whatever is wrong to another place, cheers and always be happy and kind😁and show your whites always!

I didn't see that post, as I went by Rambo23 first post and captions which do not show a gpu inserted in the TC-1760 in its PCI x16 GPU slot and Rambo23 never mentioned a GTX1660 SUPER gpu card. Remember fugadug I'm not blind or dumb and/or are many people that you think are blind and dumb, as I went by what he initially posted and said!

Also, that desktop that you circled Rambo23 never got the GTX-1660 Super gpu card with that TC-1760-UR12 desktop, read the posts fugadug as I'm not colorblind.
