can I still return or exchange a product? Bought Acer Chromebook spin 311 last May 26 and the keyboard is acting up. If you type n, there’s always 7. If b, there’s always 4 and so on. Anyone having the same problem?

Your Acer Chromebook spin 311 (it would be nice if you told us the exact model😁) is it the Chromebook CB311-9H, CB311-9HT or something like that? As unfortunately, this laptops 12 month warranty has expired and you definitely can't exchange the laptop and/or repair it under Acer 12 months warranty. The problem with your keyboard is that its keys are faulty and you need to replace the keyboard. Look on ebay or Amazon for new keyboard and replace it yourself or if you are not computer savvy then take top a tech in your area or take your laptop to Acer Tech so that can replace the keyboard with the genuine Acer product.

hi. This is the Model: CP311-3H-K5WQ. And I believe it is still under warranty since I just bought it May 26, 2023? Thank you.

If your CP311-3H-K5WQ is only 3 months old then contact Acer Tech Support and get Acer to replace fix this keyboard or mainboard problem, as these keyboards are specialist keyboards that need the oem part that Acer has access to, this is especially to these new laptops parts.

You might have num lock on, which is trying to use those keys as a numeric keypad. Which keys would be used is dependent on which language your machine is setup for. If the keys in question don't match up with the typical numeric keys on a keyboard (for US/International it's the m,j,k,l,u,i,o,8,9,0) then the issue might be internally in the keyboard where two membranes are shorting each other out. If it's hardware with the keyboard then going to Acer support route for a warranty repair is your best bet.
