Acer KB242Y Ebi Pixels on edge of monitor fade out when viewed from certain angles. Is this normal?

I recently got an Acer KB242Y Ebi monitor, and its great except for one thing: I noticed that the pixels on the right and left edges of the screen warp and fade out when viewed at certain angles. It doesn't have to be an extreme angle either, some elements will disappear from the edges completely if the screen isn't viewed directly head-on. I've provided some pictures demonstrating this. Is this normal or a manufacturing defect?

(I did not move the cursor between shots by the way. It completely vanished. You can also see part of the scroll bar missing.)

Only the arrow cursor seems missing in the 2nd shot, not parts of the scrollbar? Try it again with the cursor fully inside the screen margins, not partway out like in the 1st shot.
