I Entered The BIOS Via F2, And When I Tried To Exit, I Can’t Get Out And I’m Stuck There Permanently. How Do I Fix This?

Press the Power Button for 5 seconds this will shut down the laptop.

First check if your laptop has a pinhole with a small battery sign at the back. Insert a pin and press till you feel it click, keep pressing the pin down for a few seconds and release. Plug-in the adapter and try to boot, make sure that a USB recovery drive or any other USB device is not connected to your laptop. If you get in the BIOS or Repair loop and cannot get to Windows disable Fast Boot in BIOS and save settings on exit and reboot. If still the same one more thing you can try is to reset CMOS that will also reset BIOS. Open the back of the laptop with a precision laptop screwdriver set (any PC or DIY shop), disconnect the battery, find the rounded CMOS capsule with the red & black twisted wires, take the coin battery out and shorten the +/- contacts inside the CMOS capsule with a bended paperclip for a second. Replace the coin battery in the CMOS capsule with the + sign up. Check and reseat the DDR4 module(s), press the Power Button on the keyboard for 1 minute. Connect the battery and try to boot.

Consider bringing your laptop to Acer Services in your country as hardware issues like a bad drive or DDR4 module could also cause this issue.

I Got It Out Of The BIOS, But Anyways, Thanks.

  • Hi @stanleynavarro10 have you tried again to access BIOS and check if the problem occurs again?

What happened could be a warning that the cmos battery is low in volts, has the equipment been used for a long time?

    Thank you.
    All the best.
