I mistakenly posted this in the Predator Den. My Bad. 😘
I want to set up two external monitors with my Nitro5 AN517-52. It
has one HDMI port, A USB C port (I do not know if that is also a
thunderbolt port), and 2 or 3 USB A ports. It has 32gb of RAM (crucial)
and 2 TB NVMe ssd storage (kingston).
I currently have a Samsung
M7 32 inch monitor plugged in to the HDMI port. I don't use the laptop
monitor, and keep the lid closed when in use. Edit: This isn't for
gaming use.
I tried to connect a 2010 manufactured Samsung B2350
as a second monitor. That uses an advanced VGA input. I ran that through
an awful kludge of connectors: (1) a VGA to HDMI adapter cable plugged
into a UGreen USB-C multifunction adapter that includes an HDMI socket
(among others). Unsurprisingly, it didn't work. Windows did not detect
it using every variation of their "Display" settings. 🙄
The old
Samsung B2350 seems to be working. It goes through a self test. Is there
some other sort of adapter that might make this. Should I be looking
for a newer monitor that uses HDMI input? Or, does the Nitro 5 AN517-52
not play well with dual monitors. Many thanks.
