My AN515-57 turns on but displays a black screen.

So before my laptop went down, it crashed a few times running applications, and after crashing it turned off. Initially, the problem was turning on and immediately turning off and the computer just wouldn’t come on. I went into and switched the ram port; after switching the ram, it came on. However, after it came on, only the computer and the keyboard came on (lit up and stayed lit), however the screen remains completely black. Have done several power resets, battery reset, moved the ram, made sure all plugs were connected and plugged in.

Edit: I also can not boot into BIOS or anything else. The screen is completely black.

Seems like you have done most of the troubleshooting. Could be an hardware issue as well.

Call Acer support and send it for repair.
