Correct Serial Number from EDID? how I could get the serial number from the EDID data

Hello! I am currently working on a script that gets the EDID data from each monitor in our organization. However, after getting this data back from the monitors, I found that the serial numbers returned by Acer monitors in the EDID were incorrect. So, I was wondering if anyone knew how I could get the serial number from the EDID data or if I am just unable to track data from Acer monitors. Thanks!

I don't think Acer provides that info as part of the EDID data, though I image they could have selected models that do, likely targeted at business uses.
