Acer Nitro AN515-57 Speed Issues After Upgrading RAM

Greeting,

I was using 16GB RAM at a speed of 3200MHz in my Acer Nitro AN515-57. Today, I upgraded it to 32GB, but the speed was decreased to 2400MHz. I referred to many online forums. I tried to tweak BIOS, I could not find XMP settings there. What am I supposed to do?

The 2020 model supports up to 2933 MHz RAM but the 2021 model supports 3200 MHz RAM:

Read MalmonRoi's post on this forum: "I fixed the issue by replacing the factory kingston ram with a Matching Pair of  2x Team Elite 8gb DDR4 3200 Mhz CL22 and it's now registering to 3200mhz in task manager from 2933 before"

I have a 2021 model @Puraw . It worked at 3200MHz with its old RAM module, but got stuck at 2400MHz with the new one. I have posted the RAM used for upgradation, which does support 3200MHz, and isn't it CL22? So what is the problem here?

It is CL22 @ 3200 MHz but if it runs at only 2400 MHz CL=17 (CPU states CL 18). your ADATA set runs in Dual Channel mode but at "Flexible" (lowest) frequency, maybe check the Intel forum if they have an answer or wait till someone else comments.

I cannot find any settings in my BIOS to change RAM sped @MRWHOAMI_78 . How can I change it using Windows Settings? Never found anyone mentioning that…

That can only happen in pc not in laptops.

Would you check if you are getting 3200mhz with previous stick again?

The problem you are having is that the ADATA DDR4-3200MHz (22) 16GC 16 SO-DIMM is not a fully compatible ram with the Acer Nitro AN515-57 laptop as not every 16GB DDR4-3200 CL22 ram is compatible, use the compatible memory that Acer lists in its service guide and has Ace part numbers for the Nitro AN515057 laptop like in the highlighted list I’ve given you below, use only these ram modules from: Kingston, Samsung or Hynix memory, as they will work 100% and when you will put 2x 16GB DDR4-3200MHz CL22 modules of those ram, you will get Task Manager speeds of 3200Mhz

Hi,

I suspect ADATA modules may be at fault, return them and get Samsung, Hynix or Crucial modules and install.

Did you have 2x8GB 3200 MHz modules installed originally? Task Manager says 2 slots used? Copy the part number of the original modules and buy the same kit but 2x16GB 3200 MHz, that should work. Or the Acer recommended modules that Steven posted above.
