So I have SF314-52 model and I am having issue connecting my external monitor to it using HDMI cable, the cable and monitor work 100% and is not the issue with them.

I have contacted Windows and their techs are telling me its probably BIOS and display adapters issue.

I am not savvy in tech side of computers any more what an average person knows, I have contacted telephone support and was told my warranty expired and I would have to pay them for any support, I refused and asked for any free resources and was not given much help there either. I found the tech support to be lacking and kind of rude, seems like they outsourcing their support to some local "fix your TV" store.

I mean its kind of ridiculous that so many people here are having issue connecting external monitors and ACER needs to stop being so cheap and actually provide some customer support and fix their ****, people should not have issues with something as simple as plugging in an external monitor to a laptop.

What is an average non tech person supposed to do when they encounter a problem like this that should not be happening in this day and age. You have an HDMI plug in your Laptop, its there for a reason and it should be working. I shouldn't have to pay some sleepy fix your TV guy to fix something that should be working. What am I supposed to do now, learn computer science so that I can troubleshoot this?

Are you connecting to the HDMI port or to the USB-C port? Hit Windows-P and verify the external monitor is set to Extend.
