excuse me, I want to ask about upgrading the RAM.
I'm using an Acer Nitro 5 An515-46-R8PD

In the guidebook I read, RAM Sodimm DDR5 4800mhz 16gb and can go up to 32gb.

I ask, is it possible to use frequencies above 4800mhz?

Can you please advise what brand of ram is suitable??

Do you have to use 2 of the same brand on your laptop, or can you use different brands?

Hi,

Yes, you can upgrade up to 32GB with DDR5 4800MHz modules only, yes, you can use different brands but both modules should have same specifications.

I would suggest you find out the memory combination in your laptop, use CPU-z to find out the specifications of your current memory module, then buy another module with same specifications(Frequency, CL value) and install.

Download and install CPU-z, run it and post the pictures of Memory tab and SPD tab.

Hi @WJK_Piliang I leave you information from the service manual, maximum frequency 4800 and maximum memory 32GB total in two slots with a maximum of 16GB per module.

You can use compatible memories with a frequency greater than 4800 but they can only work at a maximum of 4800.
