Hi, been using my Acer swift 5 (SF514-54GT-51WA for around 2 years. Quite disappointed with the product, the slimness of the product is causing a lot of problems. Changed the case once (first visit) due to crackline on the casing between the hinge and screen as the laptop it's so slim.

Claimed warranty once (2nd visit to service center) for the casing due to air bubbles underneath the laptop.

Recently the problem reoccur and the paint layer started coming off. Is this considered a product defect as the product is so slim and unable to dissipate the heat efficiently hence causing this problem .

Is this a claimable defect despite the warranty period has expired ?

PS: my first product with the brand, but the problems I faced throughout the time im using it is steering me away.

It depends on Acer… Typically we have seen Acer support doing repairs for those units affected by the air bubbles that can form on systems with the bad surface adhesion to the coloring, but it's on a case by case basis and eventually they will stop doing it for free. We don't get reports on actual systems they have done the work on, just anecdotal evidence that it's being done still. You have nothing to lose by contacting them with the issue.
