Hi.
I am looking at the 14" version of this laptop (A514-55-511P). I was hoping it would do DisplayPort over USB-C. But …
From Acer website:
15.6" version:
USB Type-C port: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps), DisplayPort over USB-C,
Thunderbolt 4, USB charging 5 V; 3 A, DC-in port 20 V; 65 W
14" version:
USB Type-C port supporting: USB 3.2 Gen 2 (up to 10 Gbps), Thunderbolt 4, DC-in port 20 V; 65 W
Is this an oversight or a wrong information from the web marketing departing or is this really the case? They have both the same Intel CPU. Why is only the 15.6" version capable of doing DisplayPort over USB-C??
Can someone confirm this is actually the case. If so this is very disappointing.
