Hey, I need help, my laptop hinge is broken ig, took it to local fixer, he said I should buy hinges and a new lid.

I don’t know about the lid tho, is he right?

What should I do?

I was thinking about just getting a new hinge, new screen screws, NO LID, and fix it at home.

    hey, I need help

I took it to a local fixer, he said I need a new hinge and a new lid.

I agree with the hinge, don’t know about the lid tho.

I was thinking to just get a new hinge, screen screw, and fix it my self at home.

    What do you think?

and what pieces should I exactly buy to get the laptop fixed?

These are the top or bottom laptop components that the hinges secure to that you might need to replace if you have a broken hinge problem. Seeing that you haven't detailed what really broke in your laptop, as you only have shown a round part, which I presume is from the hinge? If that is the case? Then you only need to replace the hinge (that you can only buy in pairs) but when a hinge breaks, in 99% of cases the LCD cover to where the hinge secures to also breaks, so you will need to replace the LCD cover also.

Below are all the parts that you might need to replace so that you can do a proper job (don't USE HOT GLUE to secure a broken hinge(s) as they are messy and will destroy wherever the glue stick to and it looks boggy and a nasty job) so buy replaceable new parts that are referenced below for your Aspire A514-53-584V laptop. If you need to replace either the lower case or the top LCD case, its best to get the Acer reference part numbers that are written on these screens and double check if they are the same as below. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

@Fattah for broken screw holes, you only need a new screen lid. You can unscrew the screws from the broken screw holes by hand or use a plier. The hinges are fine tho, just need to loosen the otter bolts just a bit to prevent this from happening again.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!
