Acer monitor KA272 How do I stop lagging? and monitor yellowing

Hello,

I have 2 additional monitors connected which leads to lagging on my computer. My mouse cursor will freeze at times and skip around at other times, additionally, whenever I am trying to create a Word document, the document would freeze, therefore, sometimes not even completing the sentences I have drafted. I have changed the refresh rate and has not done anything. I know it is from the additional monitor (or at least an additional USB connection) as once I disconnected the monitor, there is no further lagging. Can anyone provide me with a solution?

Also, I have a new Acer monitor (KA272), and I am not able to remove the yellowing from the background, I have followed the steps online but does not help. I have the exact monitor which does not have the yellowing in the background, is there anything further I can do to remove this yellowing?

What computer do you have? What GPU is installed? Which ports and port types are you using? Are you connecting any monitors through a dock? Which OS are you running? How much memory do you have and how much is being used? Do you have a SSD or HDD? Have you tried a different cable to see if the yellowing changes?

I have one HDMI port, therefore, use a multi-port (2) HDMI splitter for my other monitor.

For the monitor that has the yellowing, I have used a different cable and still shows the yellowing.

You can first try to turn off the blue light reduction by pressing the OSD button and hot key 1. If that doesn't remove enough yellow tint then click on the menu. Click Color . Click 6-axis Hue to adjust yellow and other color hues & saturation.

The freezing might simply be caused by the passive signal splitter that's overloading/ overheating the GPU. What is you splitter brand and model?

There have been a lot of different C27 models. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like C27-xxx-xxxx.

OK, so the HDMI port on your C27-1655 is soldered directly to the motherboard so we know it's not an issue with the cable to the port on the motherboard side. It could be an issue with the HDMI cable or the splitter, I assume both external monitors are showing the same screen, since typically there's only one display signal on the port. If you swap monitors on the two sides of the splitter does the yellowing follow the monitor or the cable end?

Try this. Search 'night light' in Windows start menu. Click night light near top of menu. Turn night light off it isn't already.

Hi Billsey - I tried different cables, and switched the monitors around. My computer only has 1 HDMI outlet, therefore, have tried plugging in the one HDMI directly to the computer, with the other cable into the splitter, as well as both directly into the splitter leaving the splitter, all with no success and continues to lag and glitch.

Hi JackE - the night light is off, and have also adjusted the "strength" with no changes.

I really appreciate both of your assistance with this frustrating situation lol.

What do you mean by EXACT? Do you have a new KA272 and an old KA272?

When I purchased my computer in October 2022, I purchased the additional Acer monitor at the same time with no yellowing issues. I then purchased an additional monitor (same brand and model) from a different location, however, this monitor is having yellowing issues; additionally makes my computer constantly lags/glitch.
